Although some homes may be simpler, however, they retain a great local value.
Inside the premises, you will find the attention to details from the classic and colourful tiles overlooking the doors to spacious terraces usually covered by the “Loggia” with rounded cylindrical columns (pulera) bounded by stone seats (the bisuoli) and walls with a stone finish.
Depending on the location of the house, if you are on a hillside or close to the beach, you always benefit of wonderful views, sunrises and sunsets, or alternatively, you are surrounded by green gardens used for the cultivation of fruit trees, flowers or plants.
The houses in the main centre, which have nearby, the touristic and commercial port as well as the various amenities, are often more convenient for arrivals and departures, for visiting the other islands being able to stay at a walking distance for evening nights out, making it a little stroll without having to use public transport or having to have other means for travelling.

Another alternative are the houses located in Canneto (the closest town to the historical centre), as they offer the opportunity to fully enjoy the wonderful sea and still have many amenities available. For lovers of nature, tranquillity and relaxation, who wish to spend pleasant moments far away from the noise and daily bustle; we recommend areas a bit more distant as Acquacalda, suggestive and panoramic seaside resort where you find beautiful homes with porches and some very nice nearby restaurants; or alternatively the hilly and scenic areas, where you find mostly the presence of independent villas and single homes where the exposure of the terraces offer unforgettable moments.
